San José del Cabo · Baja California Sur
A note from us
We're getting married on the Sea of Cortés, and we'd rather do it with all of you there than almost anywhere else. Two days, two very different nights. One loud and full of color, one quiet and ceremonial, with a stretch of coastline in between to actually catch up.
This page is where everything will live as it firms up: the room block, the schedule, what to wear, and how to get there. Check back often. We'll keep it current.
The Weekend
Events run Thursday and Friday. Most guests arrive Wednesday, May 5 and fly home Saturday, May 8 or later. Details in Travel.

Thursday · 6 May 2027
The opening night, and the loudest one. Henna, music, food, and an outdoor amphitheater that runs right into a sunset the color of tequila. Come ready to be on your feet.
Vibrant · Organic · Celebratory

Friday · 7 May 2027
The ceremony, then dinner and dancing by the water. Quieter and more formal than Thursday, and the night we've been waiting for.

RSVP
One reply covers your whole party. Replying early helps us plan, and lets us hold the right number of rooms.
We've got it. If you haven't booked yet, the room block link is just below in Where to Stay.
Where to Stay
Both nights, the ceremony and the reception are all on property. You won't need a car.
Puerto Los Cabos · San José del Cabo
The resort sits on the calmer San José side of the corridor rather than the busier Cabo San Lucas end, about twenty minutes from the airport, with the beach, pools and restaurants all in one place.
We're holding a block of rooms for our guests at a group rate. Book through our link so your room counts toward the block and you're on property with everyone else.
Our group link is open. It takes you straight to Marriott with the wedding rate applied.
Book your room Booking under our block gets you the group rate and keeps everyone together on property.Travel & Logistics
Roughly 150 of us are flying in, most from the U.S. Here's the short version of what you need.
San José del Cabo (SJD) is the only airport you want. Direct flights run from Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago, among others. Book early. May is high season.
The drive is short and straightforward. Arrange a private transfer in advance rather than sorting it out in the arrivals hall. The resort can book one, and we'll share a recommended service closer to the date.
Hot, dry and almost entirely free of rain, with highs near 88°F and evenings in the upper 60s. Sea breeze after sunset, so a light layer for the outdoor events isn't a bad idea.
You'll need a valid passport to enter Mexico. Check the expiration date now, not in April. Renewals take longer than you think, and six months of validity past your travel date is the safe standard.
The currency is the Mexican peso. Cards are accepted nearly everywhere on the resort and in San José del Cabo, and U.S. dollars are widely taken, though usually at a worse rate. Bring small bills for tipping.
Two outfits for the events, plus daytime resort clothes. Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and shoes you can stand in for hours. Some of the outdoor spaces are uneven, so thin stiletto heels are a losing battle.
Questions
Plan to arrive Wednesday, May 5 and fly home Saturday, May 8 at the earliest. Events run Thursday and Friday, and you do not want to be landing the afternoon of the Mehendi. Plenty of people are staying through the weekend.
We'll post dress code details for both nights here as they're finalized. The short version for now: Thursday is bright and festive, Friday is formal.
Your formal invitation will name everyone included in your party. If you're unsure after it arrives, just ask us directly. Much easier than guessing.
No. The JW Marriott is a standard resort with several restaurants and bars on property, so meals outside our events are on your own. Our hosted events cover food and drinks for those nights.
No. Everything happens on the resort grounds. A car is only worth it if you're planning day trips into Cabo San Lucas or the East Cape. Otherwise taxis and transfers handle it.
The resort's drinking water is purified and the ice is made from it. Stick to bottled or filtered water off property, which is standard advice anywhere in Mexico, and you'll be fine.
You are flying to Mexico for us. That's the gift. If you'd still like to do something, we'll add registry details here closer to the date.
Reach out to either of us directly. We'll add a dedicated contact here once we have a planner coordinating guest logistics.
